There was a Korean drama called 'Late Night Restaurant' that centered around a tiny, nameless restaurant tucked away in a Seoul alley, opening its doors from midnight to 7 AM. The mysterious owner, known simply as "Master," serves simple comfort food to a diverse array of late-night customers dealing with life's struggles.
Night after night, people drift in carrying their stories, souls seeking something they can't quite name. The Master listens without judgment, preparing dishes that connect to deeper conversations. His restaurant becomes a space where strangers feel safe to share pieces of themselves over comfort foods.
The Master shows up, not with grand gestures or profound advice, but through presence and care. He creates experiences where people discover they're not alone in their struggles.
I want to create products where people feel truly seen and supported. I want to listen deeply to users' stories and craft software experiences that don't just function, but genuinely serve their hopes and struggles.
Because at the end of the day, whether it’s a warm meal at 3 AM or a tool that understands you, we’re all just trying to navigate life with a little more confidence and a lot more care.
Outside of Work
I love visiting coffee shops, especially in Asia where their coffee culture has been cooking (as my kids would say).
If you ever find yourself in Kyoto Japan…and you love Japanese specialty coffee, Kurasu is worth the visit.
On Sundays, I manage the coffee scene at church, serving specialty coffee with excellence.
Ok, it’s a cart…but still… don't let the wheels fool you; this little beast boasts a proper two-group machine and pro grinder that you would find in any artisanal coffee shop.
Best of all, I get to inspire and teach 21 amazing people who craft excellent lattes and matchas.
